One of the things I often suggest to clients when we go on a personal shopping trip is a raincoat. They haven't necessarily requested we look for one, but more often than not, they're open to the idea and realise that it would be really useful to have in their wardrobes, perhaps as a smarter alternative to a more casual cagoule style.
Here are some of the ones I've bought with clients or seen whilst out and about in the shops. I've also included some umbrellas because it's that attention to detail, which of course includes accessories, that can make all the difference to how good you look.
As Spring is coming (I think?!) it'd be nice to lighten up a little with the outerwear. There are lots of checks around at the moment and if you tend to wear plainer colours as your basics, this could be a great way to reinvigorate your wardrobe for Spring. I urge you to at least try one on when you're next out shopping and who knows, you may even like it.
Part of looking stylish is dressing appropriately for the occasion, and more often than not that includes factoring in the weather. There’s nothing more satisfying than the smug feeling you get when you know you’ve nailed it - you’re standing up to the elements but you’ve managed to look good too!
Therefore I'd say a mac is pretty essential in every guy’s wardrobe......I've chosen navy as one of the most versatile but you could also go for a classic stone or sand colour. Another thing I always think contributes to looking good, is paying attention to the details. This means continuing your style through to your accessories…..like the umbrella you carry. My current favourites are by London Undercover, some of which you can see below.
Now the nights are drawing in and the Christmas jingles will soon be playing in every store, clients have been updating their wardrobes with new coats on the recent personal shopping trips I've done.
Of course they all had varying briefs, so here I've put together a selection of the best coats I found to fit their critieria. I've concentrated on ones that are suitable to wear to work and fit over a suit jacket, though most of these will look great as part of a casual outfit too.
The clocks have gone forward and the days have got longer and warmer, though things are still changeable. Wool is starting to look wintery, so freshen up your wardrobe with a lightweight jacket. There are plenty of different styles to choose from and here I've picked a selection that I'll be bookmarking for future shopping trips with clients.
Wear any of these now on top of a t-shirt, shirt and crisp cotton knit sweater and if the wind is still biting, add a cotton scarf too.
