Hi, I'm Sarah Gilfillan, a London based personal stylist and shopper for men.

In 2009, I started Sartoria Lab to help men discover and cultivate their sense of style, and create a versatile wardrobe that reflects who they are.

I believe that if you want to be successful in any aspect of your life, you need to feel good… and feeling good in your clothes makes you feel good in yourself. Like you’re ready to tackle anything.

I also know from experience that men don’t have as many options to learn and find out about clothes and how to put outfits together, and often they don’t have anyone to talk to about clothes either.

Let me be the expert sounding board to help you express yourself more fully and feel the best you’ve ever felt. You’ll get an honest (but kind) opinion from me which often your friends or family won’t be brave enough to say.

My story

I've always worked in the fashion industry...... in a fashion wholesalers, in retail, and for many years as a menswear photographic stylist on menswear magazines, TV shows PR and advertising campaigns. I also worked with various bands and celebrities and went on lots of great trips around the world working for different brands.

It was fun and exciting but I always had this feeling that something was missing. Now I've found it - I absolutely love helping people. 

Once I realised that, I refreshed my personal styling skills by retraining in Colour Analysis and Men's Colour & Style, and I've been successfully helping men via my in-person and online styling services for the past 15 years!

In 2009, I started Sartoria Lab as I noticed there were very few options of Personal Shopping and Styling services specifically for men. If you, like the majority of men I know, dislike shopping then I figured you might like to have some help with your wardrobe and shopping needs from someone who can offer a friendly, objective opinion.

Being a men's personal stylist in London perfectly combines my love of helping people, with my love of clothes, and particularly menswear. I was always fascinated by men's clothes, especially traditional and vintage styles and love the fact that there's often a story to the details and the way they're worn.

Helping guys to upgrade their image to send out the right message, whilst finding their own individual style is a brilliant job to have and most satisfying. I love seeing the confidence it brings people when they feel great about what they're wearing and the best thing is hearing about the successes it helps them achieve, not to mention the compliments they receive afterwards.
