Spring jackets for men……that aren’t navy, khaki or beige!

Perhaps in countries other than the UK, a “summer jacket” is an oxymoron……after all, if it’s Spring or Summer that means it’s getting warmer right? So you won’t need a jacket?

But that doesn’t apply in the UK! Even when it’s warm in the day, that doesn’t necessarily mean it will be in the evenings, so you’ll need some sort of extra layer.

This month, without realising it I found myself buying jackets in similar tones with clients recently - and miraculously they weren’t in navy, khaki or beige!

So if you’d like to challenge yourself to get a fresh new look for Spring Summer 2026 with a lightweight jacket in a shade of pink, red or orange then check out the ones below:

WAX LONDON red canvas work jacket

I have to admit, the client chose this jacket himself. We’d been looking in Wax London for one of their overshirts, (which he also bought) and he asked what I thought of the jacket. He put it on and it was an instant hit!

A boxy shape that works well with straight cut jeans or loose chinos, and a colour that goes perfectly with navy, denim, white, beige, grey and black.

It’s the sort of jacket you can layer over a t-shirt and cotton sweater, to look Springlike, even if the temperatures feel otherwise!

VALSTAR Valstarino cotton blend bomber jacket

This jacket is a classic……..just in a fabulous colour variation. Lightly padded and machine washable and with the crucial side opening patch pockets……this has been a deal breaker for clients in the past - so much more practical for actually using to put your hands in!.

Wear it with dark trousers as shown here or with indigo or faded denim, and pastel colours under it like the pale yellow the model is wearing.

UNIQLO pink zip up blouson jacket

I took the client in to Uniqlo to show him another jacket that I’d got the week before with someone. But then we spotted this, and after trying both on this one suited him much more.

When it came to putting outfits together in the app (I do this after personal shopping trips), it went with loads! Either tonal with paler pinks or burgundy underneath, or used to add colour to neutral outfits, and really harmonious with chocolate brown.

And all for a bargain price!

PAUL SMITH linen, cotton and lyocell bomber jacket

Paul Smith always seems to do a great bomber jacket, and coupled with the more unusual colour, this one is a winner for me. I haven’t bought it with anyone yet, but now it’s on my radar, I’m sure I will be soon!

I love the colour combination they’ve styled it with here, and it’d look just as good to add some colour to an all navy outfit. It’s the type of thing you can chuck in your bag during the day, and whip out at night once the temperatures drop.

DRAKE’S red cotton hiking jacket

I spotted this while I was in Drake’s prepping for another client the other day. If you’re taller or just prefer a longer style then this one is a great option.

It’s quite thin so great to keep out the wind on a sunny but breezy day or layer up with a sweatshirt or chunky boxy cardi.

The washed red is easy to combine and makes a welcome change if you find the traditional olive colour is too army inspired for you.

I can see this taking you through from now, all the way till about October!
