Superb Sweaters

Brrrr.....there's a definite nip in the air.......time to kit yourself out with some sweaters methinks.

So, what will you choose this time? The same plain navy, black or grey that you always go for? Whilst I agree they're very useful basics to have, there are plenty of other options out there. So why not branch out this Autumn and experiment a little and choose something with a different neckline, texture or in a different colour to switch things up a bit?

Camel A.P.C sweater on Sartoria Lab blog - style advice for men

"Cabin" wool camel sweater - A.P.C at Matches £230

Have you checked out the new neutral - camel? If you have strawberry blonde hair or an olive or brown skin tone then I urge you to try this out. It'll slide easily into your wardrobe as it goes excellently with navy, white, denim, and grey or black......plus, it'll become instant best friends with your tan belts and shoes.

Those sartorial geniuses at the Slowear brand (which includes Incotex & Zanone) have hit the nail on the head once again with this beautiful grey sweater. It'll ring the changes in your wardrobe with it's gorgeous texture and the shawl collar, which incidentally tends to suit most face shapes and neck sizes.

Sunspel zip sweater on Sartoria Lab blog - personal shopping for men

Grey merino wool jumper - Sunspel at Harvey Nichols £175

Tired of crew or v-neck shapes but like to stay with the classics? Then a half zip sweater is the perfect option for classic preppy chic. Layer it over a white Oxford button down or do the "athleisure" trend the grown up way and put it with a plain white crew neck tee, wool track trousers and white leather trainers.

Norse Projects sweater on Sartoria Lab blog - personal style tips for men

Pale blue Sigfred lambswool sweater - Norse Projects £115

This sweater is infinitely stroke-able in a slightly fuzzy textured lambswool! You'll be on familiar ground with the pale blue no doubt from your shirt collection, but perhaps not your knitwear.....so could it be time to invite it into your wardrobe to liven up your dark denim, navy or brown chinos and charcoal grey jeans? And the answer is.......yes!

Sandro waffle knit sweater on Sartoria Lab blog - styling shopping for men

Blue waffle knit sweater - Sandro at Harrods £209

The waffle knit of this sweater is super subtle but whispers style wherever it goes. That could be to the office with some grey flannel trousers and a white shirt, or out at the weekend with a khaki bomber jacket and faded jeans. There's no doubt it will add a quiet elegance to every outfit.

"Thank you again for yesterday. I had a great day and as always you went over and above what I was expecting. Thank you, thank you so, so much"
