Menswear outfits my clients bought for summer 2025
I’ve been doing so many men’s personal shopping trips in the past month, so for this blog post, I thought I’d share some of the outfits my clients have been buying.
After we’ve been shopping, I upload images of all the clothes we’ve bought, and put outfits together in an app I use. I then share that with the client and they download it to their phone, so it makes it super easy deciding what to wear every day.
If we’ve done a wardrobe edit too then often I’ll integrate the new items with the things they already have. Sometimes I add a few extra bits to the outfits as well, if there’s a few more accessories needed or a different t-shirt colour etc

I love this shirt! I bought it with a client a couple of weeks ago, and have just put into an outfit for a new client. Super light and airy - it’s in between a shirt and overshirt.
It’s light enough to go with shorts, or. you could wear it more like a jacket as I’ve put it here. We wanted a modern look, so I’ve gone for boxy shapes, and slightly loose trousers without going too wide legged. The bag and trainers add a bit of colour and cool.
Pale blue seersucker overshirt - Universal Works - £160
Cream relaxed fit t-shirt - Arket - £27
Navy drawcord ‘Assembly’ trousers - Folk at End Clothing - £145
Lightweight crossbody bag - Cotopaxi Lista at End Clothing - £29
‘Daytona’ suede mix trainers - Gola at John Lewis - £52.50
If you’re sticking to neutrals, then bring in some texture - click through to see a close up of the shirt and seersucker shorts. It looked fabulous on my client this week and he liked the more relaxed nature of the grandad collar, which makes it a little more unusual but still looks smart.
I particularly like these seersucker shorts (we had them shortened a bit) and the addition of these great glasses…..which were the first ones we picked out and tried in the shop!
The jewellery and Birkenstocks give it a laid back feel, which was just right for this client but you could just as easily put soft suede loafers and a woven belt with it, if that’s more your vibe. The shirt and shorts just form a great base.
Textured grandad collar shirt - Oliver Spencer - £159
Navy ‘Billie’ seersucker shorts - NN07 - £150
‘Ledbury’ sunglasses in black - Finlay - £160
Silver, yooperlite and shell bracelet - Mikia at Mr Porter - £110
Taupe suede ‘Arizona’ soft bed sandals - Birkenstock - £115
This outfit works well for British summers……which are not usually as hot as they have been this week! If you’ve got warm colouring like my client had, then this deep peach t-shirt and the camel / rust colours in the overshirt will be great on you.
We wanted to keep things fairly classic but with a contemporary feel, so these slim cut chinos, and the no fuss white trainers hit that brief and add some polish to the outfit.
Ecru and multi coloured check ‘Whiting’ shirt - Wax London - £150
Beige stretch cotton / tercel trousers - Boggi - £159
Washed rose pink ‘Bless’ t-shirt - Reiss - £18
White leather trainers - Boggi - £199
Slub crew socks - Anonymous Ism at Number Six London - £18.25
The client who bought this outfit is classic and elegant with an understated feel to his outfits. Nothing too flash or trendy, just something you can imagine on the French Riviera. I think this outfit does the job nicely, don’t you?
I added in the Persol glasses - which I may have to suggest to him next time. After all, on a previous personal shopping trip we bought the Sanders boots that Steve McQueen wore, so why not the sunglasses too?!
Agave green ‘Maitan’ printed shirt - Orlebar Brown - £345
Taupe linen shorts - Boggi - £129
Brown leather ‘Claremont’ toe post sandals - Russell & Bromley - £125
Folding 714 sunglasses - Persol - £297
I definitely wanted to make sure I added some colour in to this guy’s wardrobe, and this warm mustard really suited him. And it also tones in really well with the shirt.
He needs his clothes to be practical as he’s a dad to young kids, as well as look cool and not to ‘try-hard’. I think we nailed it with this outfits, as well as tons of others I put together for him in the app!
Grey and yellow cotton lattice shirt - Universal Works - £100
Navy slim fit bermuda shorts - Mango - £35.99
Mustard t-shirt - (Mango but no longer available) - similar here at Colourful Standard - £30
‘Windspin’ butter white suede trainers - Autry - £170
Brown studded leather belt - Superdry - £39.99

“Over the years my wardrobe became more and more like a uniform with little variety.
Sarah helped me look beyond my usual buys, and together we explored different things.
I would never have known where to go without her, and would simply be overwhelmed and give up, or just end up buying more of what I already have.
I now have a real range of clothes, different combinations, and from different shops.”
